Default Boarded by Americans

I just got back from a cold and wet hunting trip to Waitrose, having shot a beefburger with my debit card, only to find find my boat had been boarded by umbrella wielding Americans.

Turns out they are organising a meal for the folks wintering at St Kat's and were delivering an invite. The community spirit of boat folk never ceases to impress me. I've had so many chats with all kinds of people since being on the boat for just a few months. In contrast I never once spoke to my neighbour in the 12 months I lived in a house not 5 minutes from here.

Anyway, I was telling them about my plans for the JC and they said a chap by the name of Smith was moored next to them this weekend in the central basin, and he too had JC aspirations.

Was it anybody from on here per chance?

Default Re: Boarded by Americans

I moored next to the Americans at St Katherines (lovely people from Calfornia) I am entered for the Jester Challenge in 2010 in my new boat Mystique a one off Junk rigged riptide. I sold the boat currently listed in my entry. I am moored at Galleons Point Marina in Woolwich, any other Jesters on the Thames?
