Incidentally I've had disagreement with MDL for a while over whether the boat is 11.40 or 11.04 - not that it makes a huge difference, but as Mercury are MDL as well I wanted to get my retaliation in first!

No MDL arguements on this thread please, they have been extremely generous to us in previous meets, and while cash may be a bit more strapped this year than previously, they are still potential sponsors.
I've asked if we can have a Mercury meet forum, as previously, and Dan has said yes. We have enough interest to make it work, if the people who have expressed an interest don't drop out.
If anyone who has said yes, doesn't think they can make it. It's 9/10 May up the Hamble, Southampton'ish
Please drop out now if you can't make it, as the whole event will depend on people actually paying dosh beforehand

To be clear, I can certainly make the evening meet +1 and look forward to meeting those I have not met before but as I have to be elsewhere on Sunday will come by road. No berth required.

Probably a month max to make a firm decision, then payment within a couple of weeks.
We really need to know firm numbers as soon as possible, as if even just 10% drop out, it will have huge cost effects on the meet, as we have to hire marquees, and not just a simple case of informing a restaurant that numbers have changed. There are very few marina side restaurants that can take the number of boats we typically have, and cater for 150 people. So the marquee is the best option, we've found in the past.

I'm not sure what you've done here, as you've put back in boats that have been removed, and totally confused me as djefabs etc should not be on the list
Folks, if you are on this list, you are expected, and so should go to the payment thread, and make sure you and your family and guests have been paid for.
All these boats are expected by Mercury Marina on Sat 9th, arriving later than mid day, and leaving mid day 10th, if you want the free berthing option.

Unfortunately the wind gods decided to screw up my two weeks holiday including the Mercury Meet.......Black Deep today with F4/5 on the nose was not very nice and I turned back to home.....
Shall still be attending but arriving by car.....though an offer of a berth for myself and Mr FC may be accepted and we may still arrive floating....
I am not missing this major event in my boating calender.....
