We have 54 people and 5 kids.

Due to the reduced numbers, we have a change of arrangements, agreed between MDL, Waters Edge Restaurant and myself.

We will now have the meet in the Restaurant, and berth holders etc will dine in the bar area rather than in a hired marquee. As the restaurant had hired a mobile bar for the marquee, the £800 sponsorship from MDL will recompense the restaurant for the hire, and MDL are providing 30 bottles of wine on our tables!!

Waters Edge have also hired a disco for us

The function will start at 19:30 on Sat 9th and the bar is open until midnight (maybe later if lots of people still around)

Not that I know of, though Jon Eads of MDL may be there (who provided the sponsorship)

Having been to many forum meets, I suspect that alcohol consumption will surpass all their expectations.

A huge thanks to all on the forums who have helped with publicising the event, and providing support, and offers of help, not all of which were taken up for a variety of reasons. We were even offered 2 lambs for a barbie if the need arose. You all know who you are, though too many to mention.

so the forty or so people who said they were coming and didn't pay up, mean that those who are coming don't benefit from MDL's £800 donation, as the money has to be used to compensate the restaurant for the no-shows.

Only a portion of the sponsorship is going on the bar hire. The rest of it is taken up by the 30 bottles of wine MDL are providing.
