Default Manuels Cowes IOW

After hearing a mention of this place on a reply to a previous post, we decided to give it a go friday night, after leaving work late we didn't arrive in Cowes till' 9pm with no booking we thought we may struggle, but plodded the 2 min walk from CYHaven to see if we could get a table in Manuels.

Whilst the outside and overall building isn't exactly picture perfect the friendly server offered us a table. It's a little place with an open kitchen and very much family run home style portugese cooking. We were really impressed with the food, good quality, well cooked. 7.50 for most mains put most pubs i've eaten in to shame.

Server was portuguese very friendly and chatty including some advice for the best time to charter boats over there!

Would def' recomend for easy going casual interesting home style cooking and a few beers/red wine at a reasonable price. Remembering your 60 seconds from Cowes High St. and Marina's!

Hope they keep it up, seems so easy for most place to drift in to easy tourist food...

But for the moment I think we've found or new "local" in Cowes for food.
