Yes, you do have a problem there. I would rig a second line, with a large thimble spliced into the end, through which your anchor rode can run freely. This second line should be run down through a hole in the deck just behind the stemhead, and back to the cockpit. When deploying the anchor, you can lower it from the side of the boat with the thimble close to hand. Once you have released enough rode, haul on the second line until the rode is leaving the boat from the stem. This is so that your boat will ride with the bow to the wind. In this position it will be most docile and offer the least area to the wind, and thus the least strain on the rode. When you need to recover the anchor, take the strain on the rode and let go the second line to the bow. You will now be able to recover the anchor over the side of the boat.
