Not a million miles from there (other side but if I said where people would pelt eggs at me..) but wont be down this weekend I am afraid.

Is the ghost still around that end of the marina?

I have never seen it but I believe there is something that lurks around and have been told a few stories.

Bizarrely I am always ship scared walking to the spinnaker (I dont like the dark!) but the return is always so much easier...I wonder why!

Far end of "H" I thought, so, jrb1978, you won't have far to go!

Also reckon there's "something" strange lurking when overnighting at East Head. It's happened on the last three occasions when we've overnighted there. Also experienced it during the day, but more so at night.

Anyone else experienced anything peculiar up there?

Trust me there is something out there...

I cant stand the dark and I make no excuses for it, I stay down the boat frequently in winter and as you have gathered its on the far side, nothing scares me more in this world than having to walk round to the entrance or the spinnaker based on these stories!

I would pay money for the cctv footage that must show me running in the very dark parts!

I think you are safe on your side, if not jump into a bottle of red that will protect you!

Richard... I think the spirit world is like dogs, don't show you are afraid of them and they won't chase you.

I dont believe in ghosts but still retain a vivid memory of something odd that happened on my boat last year in Chichester Marina, not sure how close to H it is but its the top corner that is airless on a still night, and the mist from the marsh descends to veil the boats.

Perhaps sunstroke, perhaps just an odd dream but the account I gave on the forum was not a wind up

Perhaps we should have a new 'smiley' icon that we can use for silly/prank posts ?

Dont worry jrb, I am sure in years gone by the Vikings would have used the marsh fog as a cover to attack boats in but their spirits should be long gone , you just have to worry about the locals after your nav gear
