Default Umpire boat trailer stolen from Sunbury

Posted on behalf of a friend:

Our (Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club based on Runnymede) boat trailer was stolen during the weekend of Sunbury regatta from the standing area adjacent to the slip between Swans Rest Island and Sunbury Court Island exiting to Lower Hampton Road in Sunbury, to the East of the regatta site.

The boat it transports is our club launch used for umpiring, coaching and safety, and was being used at the main and junior regattas on Saturday 15th August and Sunday 16th August..

The trailer was distinguished in some ways:

· It was purpose built with electric wiring through the main beam with sockets at either end.

· The hand pulling handles had red grips and on one side the handle has been bent.

· The mudguards were round unlike most trailers nowadays that have 3 flat edges and were very distorted due to the metal fixings being bent.

· The winch ratchet didn't lock.
