Crocs: You Wouldn't Listen!

Some months ago I had a rant on the liveaboard forum regarding the dumb footwear, Crocs. I did try and tell you what utterly stupid garments they are but many of you didn't listen, some of you got really angry (it was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun). And, as if in defiance, that normally respectable gentleman Mr T. Cunliffe appeared in Yachting Monthly a month later wearing the craziest pair of fluorescent orange Crocs ever invented, seriously tarnishing his reputation as an able seaman. Pictured ascending the mast, never has a grown man looked so utterly ridiculous

Anyway, here's an update: in the last couple of months TWO people in Marmaris Yacht Marina have been hobbling around on crutches due to Croc-related accidents. One victim actually broke her leg and has been in a cast for the last few months. Both are taking part in the Vasco Da Gama rally to India, so these injuries have seriously hampered someone's cruising plans.

I've told you before and I'll tell you again: Crocs are the most stupid fashion garment since leg-warmers. Wear them at your peril. Better still, don't wear them at all
