Default See the entire Thames has gone for its usual Winter Snooze

Judging by the number of new posts ? Tut Tut.

See you all in June, once the lockies have all put up their hanging baskets of Pansies/cut the grass/jetwashed the lock chambers and you lot timidly surface to see if it is safe to come out from under the duvet and horror of horrors not get that green stuff all over your shiney fenders !

Ps,Nearly came to Bray on Saturday but wimp of a host did chicken out due to a few minor breezes and a refreshing shower or two.

Oh, I beg your pardon O great sage of the Mudway!

I was out on the river on on Friday and I was back on the boat today doing some jobs and chores. Also met up with a new forumite (take a bow Mark M) who has recently bought a Birchwood 33 in need of some TLC.

Re Bray, we cannot go upstream until the Spring because the EA have closed the lock for winter renovation work.

I am surprised that your host allegedly "chickened out"... I thought nothing would deter "The Old Man of The Sea"!!

Now now, play nicely Fred. Only you and I know how many times you have been invited but I know I cannot compete with the fodder of Hello magazine.

Mind you. last weekend was particularly crappy weatherwise and my other hobby was placing considerable demands on my time, not to mention swmbo managing to demolish her wardrobe......

Boats starting to get lifted out in our marina, so will soon be like a ghost town there... On the plus side, I am looking forward to our planned weekend in Windsor this weekend, just hope it stays dry(ish). Hopefully there might be the odd firework display going on somewhere that we can oohh and aahhh to, and we'll be making plans to head to St Kat's for New Years eve, something else to look forward to!
