Default Round UK & Ireland

Hi All, Planning a round UK and Ireland trip next year, we are going clock-wise and hope to start end of April -begining of May.

I am looking for information for the leg from Kilrush to NW & Northern Ireland. Are there any good Pilots for this area, to include Arran Isles, Galway, Clifden, up as far as Derry, are ther places that should not be missed, or is it to be given a fast wide berth in good weather?? I guess I will be there around mid June time.

Thanks

The visitor moorings at Ballyglass pier in Broadhaven Bay near Erris Head in Mayo are worth keeping in mind.
Good shelter is available from any westerly summer gale you might get and it is a good staging point for the run over to the Donegal shore.

Default Moorings

This site lists the marinas (none around the NW corner) but also the visitor moorings around the whole coast: http://www.sailingireland.com/moor2.htm
