Looks like you where enjoying the same big high we have been.

I was bringing a boat down from Queensland last week, and there was an intense high (fairly stationary) over the Tasman Sea from Friday which was creating a North-Easterly (for us), 15 knot wind though Bass Strait, very pleasant following conditions, all the way home to Tas.

We had mid to high 20's over the weekend as well.

Is Auckland sheltered from the southerlies of the approaching highs?

Nice pictures, thanks, that's a lovely anchorage in the first one

Mind you, we had our own bit of t-shirt weather on Saturday, a balmy 20 degs in the Solent. It was the calm before the storm though, F8 winds and horizontal rain on Sunday

Angry

Only 30*c here today and I a shipload of work scheduled, Number crew on crutches with a smashed knee.

This never happens during the wet season for some reason, no rainfall for over months now, not even a shower.

Damp and drizzily here at the moment in Auckland ... fingers crossed AndieMac will send over another high for the weekend!

Do you sail the little tri's yourself?

Part of class racing, or off the beach charter boats?
