New Labour - nothing to do with sailing apart from the fact that they've foundered!

The weather forecast says we will have the wind on the beam.
This will be a nice quiet anchorage

Worse than a dry bilge would be, perhaps, A DRY SHIP..?
After you have applied all those ' Bargain' surface 'Restorers', enjoyed some 'Unusual and unseasonal weather' and sailed to that port with its 'Straightforward Approach' and 'all facilities available' including 'Hot Showers', I want to be aboard the floating caricature of a Plimsoll defying 1930s Rumrunner, not some dusty 'dry ship'..

A safe sea boat.
plain sailing.
deep water channel
accurate navigation
reliable electronics
well lit passage
"any mark" Conspic.
easily distinguished headland
comfortable motion at sea.
safe mooring
It goes on & on doesn't it, yet we use them all the time. Perhaps it's all just relative.

Yachtmaster, wish they would teach them the basics of knots, splicing and boat maintenance.
Tasty snack, someone should start a new thread on this specific subject.
Weatherproof, for a short while yes, so I guess this should be water-resistant.

Sailing Oxymorons
The OP asked about sailing Oxymorons.
I understand they are soundly constructed, carry their canvas well and are sea-kindly. There is an active owners' association, and a well-maintained example should provide lots of enjoyment.
