Thumbs up Vasco Da Gama Update: All OK

Quick update since people have sent PMs wanting to know how/where the hell we are!

Not giving our location away but we are half way through and it has been tough but incredible. Quick summary: two boats dropped out, one was towed for two days, half the fleet ill, engine problems and other negative stuff. On the positive: people and nature! Wow!

Click here for an update and don't forget we are podcasting the whole thing too. God knows how it happened but we now have over 1,100 podcast subscribers following the boat(s)!

As we continue eastwards Liz and I have scheduled automatically released podcasts and blog entries so check our blog but please note we are purposely delaying our exact whereabouts for obvious reasons.

Thank you everyone who has sent messages, emails and PMs. Offline again for another week or so now. Bye!

Thanks for thinking of us!

Here are a couple of pics of Massawa, Eritrea.

We really enjoyed Eritrea.

Did you take the bus to Asmara? There's a wonderful ethnic Eritrean restaurant hidden in the back of the Italian cafe/restaurant "Milano".
Presume your on your way to Salalah, Oman & places east - terrific!

Have a great time.

Hello from the Gulf of Aden!

No, I am unsure if it is the laundry man but he was very accomodating, despite the pose!

Yes, we did Asmara, which was damn cool. I'll be posting some pics up of that trip too. Will be back online for the next few days so will be able to catch up and stay in touch.

Cheers and fair winds to you all,

Jamie, Liz and Millie
