All you need to attend is rough idea of which end of the boat is which some charts which have never bin used and remain unopened since 1973 and preferably some even older flares.A healthy disregard of which side of the river you should be on also helps.
Unit18 has a years out of date tide table which makes him the only one able to turn up weeks afterwards or several days before and still blame everyone else for not being there.
Ps.If everyone turns up on the same day it will be an considerable improvement on last year.

New boat in the Medway beginning of June, in the Solent for a few weeks before then for sea trials and Yarmouth forum meet
Will be nice to see you again Tom.Hope you get boat sorted soon, assume from your comment that new boat is not in UK.Mate of mine has just bought nice boat located in Palma. He is trying to move it to Nice but promised berth there has sort of disappeared.Fred.
Mebbe somebody can propose date any suggestions out there.
Other stuff going on this summer.
June 3rd. Medway Barge Match.
July 9th Fishermans Court/Admirals Cruise.
21st July.Van Morrison concert in Castle Gardens.
Only just over three weeks before the nights start drawing in! Any more news of the Medway Midsummer meet? We were going to go to the Southend Air Show today, got as far as Garrison Point where the wind was a pretty steady 25knots and gusting up to 40 knots before we decided that the Festival of the Sea at Chatham Historic Dockyard seemed a better option---what a bunch of wimps!!!!.
I was coming up the estuary towards garrison point when all hell was let loose. Second reef went in as wind topped 30 knots and rain came in sideways. 10 minutes later we shook out reefs and struggled to make 4 knots boat speed. Was up near Gillingham when second lot came through - sails put to bed that time. Think you took the sensible option.

Full Circle coming in from the North, be there a bit after High Tide, as I have to bump across the Broomway from Havengore.
Will be staying overnight......
OK the state of play so far is thus..................
Oldgit in rather scruffy P33 will be around on Sat and/or Sunday in order to catch several of the large bass he tried running over last week, but possibly not UNIT18 who does not know what day of the week it is anyway and is claiming he has got to work.Fullcircle thinks he can find his way across the wake left by GCI on his way to Burham....................
The highly rated not to be missed summer meet will take place on 28th of August(a bank holiday)if anybody can remember where it is or what day its on etc etc
Oldgits long range weather seaweed states it will be hot and sunny all day although his pine cone indicates F10 and light snow.

Well that was a great success, I think we ought to rename it Midwinter meet and do a runner, I doubt that we'll ever muster three boats together again.

I don't know Stoaty as I've never been privy to such a rare event. I think it would be rarer than a sighting of the rarest of birds, the Kentish Lesser Spotted Concrete Gobbler, rarely seen I understand.
