Fishing gear

Last Summer's cruise was delayed a day. On leaving Port Edgar the tiller threw itself out of my hands with huge engine vibration. I stopped the engine and the racing safety boat came alongside and towed me back to a safe berth. The following day a diver hauled a retired lobster pot and some net and about 30 foot of BT blue rope from the prop.

Couldn't identify the source.

The Forth has quite a bit of jetsam and we have to keep a good lookout when sailing. Can't think there can be any solution. No legislation or enforcing will stop dumping of rubbish overboard. We all need to take care.
