That is exactly how many people feel who have been unfortunate enough to have experience of Mr Shalom. Maybe there is a good reason why "everyone is out to get him"?
Come, come old boy, "everyone is out to get him"? Why would anyone suggest such a thing?
I mean, why on earth would you single out just Mr. Shalom? You're not with those who you think are out to get him are you? Otherwise, I do hope you speak from direct experience to fog such a claim.
This is all the more, like the typical trite responses I have read over and over, throughout my miserable readings on this saga. Okay, so I drink alot, (goddymegumdrops, who doesn't!) sleep little and my maid attends to my every selfish needs, but I still remember some stuff about this horror bag saga over the years.
Do you really believe this shalom blokey is really delusional or, as I dared to suggest, is he mad, bloody minded, or bloody right? And what about the issues, the issues which have undoubtedly arisen from the shalom family justice campaign. Closed doors, closed minds? Power and influence, the abuse of both?
The shaloms have seen nothing more than this chappy, 'The Public Defender', a Mr. John James Harris - 'Freeman of England within Common Law' web page who also wants to see a little fairness in a more public way.
The south wales police, the cardiff harbour authority, the british marine federation, the rya, the environment agency, britishwaterways, there's quite a few parties, involved somewhere, posted on the family site, and all seem to be quietly sitting back, watching, waiting, doing nothing but covering their own back door? I think the family's stance is admirable for a uk nation in decline, even if he, or the family is welsh (I jest!). Just makes me wonder how many welsh shaloms are in the telephone book
No, to be serious again, shalom AND his family have every reason to believe, as you say, "every one (was) out to get him", and other things still bother me.
The family were proved guilty of trespass, for not paying rent or mooring fees - whatever. Okay I got that. Bad ugly people, naughty shaloms!
I also understand NOW, that this is because Crest Nicholson would no longer accept fees, on the basis that the shaloms, were in breech of their mooring agreement - that everybody HAS to have insurance. The shaloms insurance expired and they had not renewed it. Okay, I got that too. That's really nasty, for people to not-have insurance, naughty shaloms again.
NOW, I understand that the shaloms could not get insurance only because they had previously informed their insurance company of a water ingress, (witnessed by a professional marine surveyor) and that-this water ingress, had not been repaired. Shaloms must be mad, what's wrong with them, they are lunatics? They have themselves to blame? Or do they?
Why didn't they fix the leak then? dingdingdingding, the bell rings adlib if you wish...
Crest Nicholson apparently REFUSED TO GRANT PERMISSION for a lift out and fixing of the leak, in order to CAUSE - the whole sordid affair to turn into something quite disgusting......and that's not all, the company also previously allowed the vessel to become grounded in a night time accident, whilst it was in the marina at penarth...... and all this without posting notice to the family first.
It's not as if the shaloms didn't try to get a fix and thereby get insurance for their houseboat. They had ask Crest Nicholson for PERMISSION to lift their home at site, to the same emergency lifting pad, that Crest had granted similar permissions to, for the barry dock lifeboat.
dingdingdingding, the bell rings adlib if you wish...
It takes a while for all of us to accept our own stupidity, pride, selfishness and greed and all the rest, including our own mortality, but it's not so easy anymore, to even try to cover up the wicked intent of this one company, not just to destroy a family home, but their otherwise good community reputation aswell - completely. I do not think it's going to work.
I for one, with my poxy islander mentality, salute the family shalom. Great Britain was once a great nation with such value.
Alas I am ditthering, my teeth are falling again and me feet have a cold damp sweat, it's the onset of very old age, a whisky and gin beckons, I have some serious study to do.
And just in case anybody thinks shalom is mad or if he were to ever think that everybody is, was, or ever will be, 'out to get to him', here's a reminder.
It was not just him. Picton was a family home for well over 10 years. Through corporate negligence, stupidity, arrogance, pride and greed, it nows lays waste on the river banks of the Avon and YES, Shalom has already been got at - big time!
