Update on GME Epirb problem and SUPERB service from GME

I posted recently re a potential problem with our MT 400 GME Epirb. there appears to be small cracks appearing in the casing - one deep enough to catch the finger nail. - all are around 1 inch below the casing screws.
I was contacted by GME (Australia) today with a kind offer of a new MT 403 shipped immediately to our boat in Spain free of charge. They are obviously concerned and want the old beacon back to examine - they are arranging getting it shipped to Aus.
The beacon is 3 years old now and obviously out of warranty.

Truly excellent customer service and rapid response.. well done GME.
