GpsMap162 "cannot acquire satellites"

Morning all,I connected up the aforesaid Plotter yesterday (I use one of the small magnetic aerials on a 10m cable) and got this message.It was working well last season,the only thing I have done since is to transfer some Garmin Bluechart maps on to it.Tried new set up,new location,zilch,any ideas anyone? .Is there any way of testing the aerial? TIA
