I only have one grease point on each of my 290 DP-E legs and that is on the steering spindle as VP call it, to me it's a steering arm! This is how I do the greasing on a S28, I first remove (unscrew) the crankcase breather filters, this is so you can see the grease points that are on the port side of the steering arm, I then turn the wheel to port so that the grease points are now moving towards the centre on the outdrive, then basically lying on top of the engine I guide the grease gun onto the grease point, making sure nice and square on the grease point and pump the grease on in. I tend to do this about once a month or so, it sounds worst then it is. You will see once the filters are off the best position to move the outdrives to. Then put the filters back on knowing the job has been done. I hope this is of some help.
