Perkins need to get their shop in order. I too needed to get some warranty work done, last year, and it took nearly 6 months to actually get the work done. I sent numerous emails, not just to the dealer, but to the distributor as well. In the end I was so angry I told the dealer I was going to get some advice from the RYA legal department as Perkins were not honouring their warranty and also stated that I wished I'd gone to a different engine supplier. Within a few hours the phone was ringing and a few emails received and the work was completed not long afterwards.
Have you contacted Perkins direct? If not then go through the company that supplied the engine and installed it. Keep on sending emails/letters and keep copies. If you are a member of the RYA ask their legal dept for advice. If you've booked a Perkins agent and he has not kept his appointment then complain until you get some answers. It sounds to me as though he can't be bothered so Perkins should look for another agent to cover that area.
Let us know how you get on.
