Like many of you last weekend on the south coast was most enjoyable, calm seas.
However I don't know if it is just me, but more than usual came across a few inconsiderate boaters.
Late Sat afternoon decided to anchor in Alum bay for an evening meal and watch the sunset. However during that time the father on the flybridge boat nearby with a jetrib decided to let his kids have some fun, whizzing around moored boats with no consideration for their wash and when they were not doing that they were shouting to the friends in the next boat. Thankfully they left soon after and so did everyone else, leaving just me for an hour - it was just beautiful and peaceful. Then a large sportcruiser decides to anchor near me and play music loudly - soon after I decided to leave.
Then on Sunday decided to visit Poole and anchor, again guy in his sportcruiser decided to play loud music at which point I gave a polite sign to turn it down - which he did after making his point for another 10minutes.
On both occansions they were all drinking which I guess was the cause, I have no problem people enjoying themselves, but to the total disregard to everyone else.
Rant over, am I the only one or do you experience the same problems occansionly and what do you do - just endure and ignore or?
