The S1 is a wheel pilot?? you have a small electric motor with a toothed drive?? and a larger sprocket with fittings to attach to your helm?? and a toothed drive belt?? If so you need not touch the hydraulics, the gizmo will steer you, by running forward or reverse as the commands are fed into the computer, and the helm will be turned by the motor, and helm will move the rudder.
