Thanks for the link, the current clamp is a plastic push together but it will not push tight enough, there is air getting in via the breather so I really need the proper Jubilee clip you screw tight but the ones I have are not big enough.
I am not sure what the pincer type are ? the ones I recall are galvanised/stainless but in a holding tank environment I think even stainless will fail .
even if the plastic fails , Plastic may block the macerator but at least it will not harm it.
