Navigation Authority notice 4 June 2008 Important information to masters of vessels STRONG STREAM WARNING • Due to the very heavy rainfall in the Thames Valley on Tuesday 3 June, we are experiencing strong streams on the River Thames. All locks are now showing Red Strong Stream warning boards and many weirs are fully open. • Our advice to masters of all types of vessels is not to navigate and for those already out on the river to find a secure mooring as soon as possible. • We expect these conditions to remain for the remainder of the week and possibly into the weekend as the tributaries continue to impact on river levels. • The forecast for the next few days and into next week is for showers only. If the forecast holds, it is likely yellow warning boards will be displayed by early next week.
