Sounds just like judicious reporting to me.
They were DSQ after an incident on the start line where their prodder snagged Atomic's backstay and brought the rig down.
The RRS very clearly state that a collision involving damage cannot be cleared by accepting a penalty and the offending boat must retire. You can be very sure that it was commercial pressures that resulted in Hugo Boss continuing in the race, although reports I've heard make it clear that Alex sent his rib to check on atomic and stand by them.
To not even mention this in a report aired 4 days after the race is absolutely shocking reporting.
