Caribbean island up for sale
By IBI Magazine
Waterside Properties Worldwide is offering for sale one of the most desirable pieces of real estate available on the island of Antigua, suitable for development as a luxury private residence or a small hotel with marina. Reeds Island, Jolly Harbour, is on the market at US$4 million. Strictly speaking, Reeds Island is not an island but and outcrop of land joined to the mainland by a causeway running alongside the white sandy beach. This has the advantage of controlling access to the property with the building of a gated entrance that could be guarded and electronically controlled. There are also three plots on the causeway which could be included in the purchase of Reeds Island, allowing a totally private beach if they were left undeveloped. The 11 acres that comprise the island offer sea views to the west and also south towards Jolly Harbour Marina itself. The developers of Jolly Harbour would also consider allowing the construction of a small private marina to service Reeds Island in the area to the east of the three plots on the causeway. Jolly Harbour is a 370 acre marina, residential and golf resort on the west coast of Antigua.
