Thai boatbuilders joins forces in post tsunami aid project

A group of marine professionals in Thailand has launched a new 10m (33ft) long tail fishing boat in glass reinforced plastic (GRP) following the rising cost of timber in the post-Tsunami affected region. Having released the first hull from the mould on Monday, the group is now able to build another three long tail boats a week using the existing mould set-up. Those interested in funding the project or setting up moulds for their own boatyard are urged to contact the following:
