Fontanals acquired by DSM Composite Resins

By IBI Magazine

DSM Composite Resins of Schaffhausen, Switzerland, has announced the acquisition of Fontanals Composites for an undisclosed sum. Fontanals, which was founded in 1974 by Don Ramón Fontanals Baques, is a composites distributor and solution provider based in Spain. The company will be integrated into DSM Composite Resins' own distribution group, Euroresins, and renamed Euroresins-Fontanals Composites.

"The objective of this integration is to offer all our clients Class A brands, new trends, new techniques and an optimal technical and logistical service," says Jordi Geli, general manager of the newly formed company.

DSM Composite Resins, a division of Dutch multinational DSM, is said to be the largest producer of structural resins in Europe. The company has production sites in the Netherlands, Britain, Italy, Spain and France.
