The Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation is the official charity of the 60th annual London Boat Show

The Andrew Simpson
Sailing Foundation has partnered with the London Boat Show as this year’s
official charity.

Speaking at the show
today, David Tyler from the foundation said: “It’s a great opportunity to raise
awareness of the foundation and a nice place for people to share their memories
of Andrew.”

The Andrew Simpson
Foundation was set up last summer following the tragic death of the Olympic
sailor during America’s Cup training in May 2013.

The charity aims to
inspire the next generation of young sailors and encourage more people to take up
the sport.

Managing Director of National Boat Shows
Murray Ellis said: “We are proud to be partnering with The Andrew Simpson
Sailing Foundation at the 2014 London Boat Show. Andrew was a huge supporter of
the Boat Shows, frequently giving his time to support the industry and
encourage boating participation. Together I hope we can raise the profile of
boating and watersports in the UK and highlight the opportunities available to
all Show visitors.”

You can visit the Andrew Simpson Sailing
Foundation on stand E144 throughout the show, which runs till January 12th.
