Man watching the Isle of Wight Festival from a yacht was taken to hospital after falling ill

The 32ft yacht Sabre of Hamble was moored on the River Medina, where spectators were watching performances at the Isle of Wight Festival.

A man was complaining to people on board that he was feeling unwell and suffering from muscle pains in his leg.

Solent Coastguard called Cowes RNLI lifeboat to the scene. The man was taken to Newport Quay, where he was met by an ambulance.
