The P1 Welsh Grand Prix of the Sea returns to Cardiff next month in the penultimate round of the UK race season.

There will be marine motorsport action in Cardiff Bay, with P1 powerboat and Jet Ski racing taking place as part of the Cardiff Harbour Festival.

Between 28-29 August 2016, the fleet of 11 powerboats, including the Visit Wales race boat, will be competing in the fourth round of the P1 national championships.

More than 30 Jet Ski riders will also be battling it out for precious points.

The racing is free to watch and will also include spectacular hydroflight and Jet Ski freestyle displays.

With its stadium-like setting, Cardiff Bay provides an ideal race venue and there will be lots going on away from the water with the Cardiff Harbour Festival.

This will be P1’s third visit to the Welsh capital.

You can see the powerboats, jet skis and displays at Mermaid Quay.

For a good vantage point to watch all the racing action, head to Barrage Walk.

The racing gets underway around 11.00 on both 28-29 August, 2016.
