We’ve found the just the thing to keep the head warm during
those long, cold winter days on the water. The Gill limited edition
fleece hat worked wonders during this year’s Bloody Mary pursuit
race when the sailpower.com/yachting-world.com reporting team spent
most of the day on the water in sub-zero conditions.
Unlike many hats which are not particularly flattering, the Gill
fleece is stylish which caused a bit of a problem among our reporting
team as to who was going to wear it – we eventually took it
it turns!
The extending ear flaps and snug-fit meant there was really no
chance of getting a cold head during the freezing conditions. It
was only when the hat got wet did the biting cold water make an
effect but even then the polar tech fabric kept the wind chill off.
As a consensus of opinion from our team, this hat is well worth
the £12 price tag.
