We’ve found the perfect jacket for wandering around the dinghy
park on those chilly winter days, writes Sue Pelling. The Helly
Hansen 3mm Cruising Pile Jacket is effectively a fleece with a windproof
lining, so it can be used as an all-round jacket. However, having
been caught out in one or two torrential downpours recently, I can
confirm it is definitely not waterproof!
The stylishly cut jacket has a full length zip, a loose, square
hem with integral adjustable drawcord, two front zipped pockets,
and a high stand-up collar for added wind protection.
Hits:Warm, stylish.
Misses:Very heavy when wet.
Wish list:Internal pocket.
Value for money:Would have expected
to pay more in the region of £80.
