Musto M2 Boots

£69.95

If you’re looking for some versatile sailing footwear to keep your feet warm as well as dry, it’s worth checking out Musto’s original M2 Boots, writes Sue Pelling.

To give the boots the ultimate test, we decided to take them to the Antarctic and see if they lived up to their glowing reputation. Because the conditions were likely to be extreme we needed a boot that would not only keep the feet warm and dry but also had exceptionally good grip. Thankfully the Musto M2s out-performed their expectations. The thick flexible insulating sole creates a thermal barrier between your feet and the ice and, thanks to the Polyurethane construction, they are incredibly light and flexible.

Because good grip was one of the most important aspects of the boot during our expedition aboard a steel-decked, Russian Icebreaker, it was reassuring that the M2’s deep non-slip tread offered total security.

The M2 Boot is available in Navy only and in sizes 40-47. For those with smaller feet Musto offer the M1 version available from size 36-46, they are however, slightly shorter than the M2s and have a thinner sole.
