Helly Hansen have come up with a spray top that Ali G would be
dead proud of, writes Sue Pelling. This happening piece of kit is
just the thing for the dinghy and small keelboat sailors looking
for wind and spray protection, with a bit of style on the racecourse.
The green/grey, lightweight, breathable fabric offers comfort when
worn over a wetsuit, and the square-cut, loose hem can be adjusted
with the drawcord. I particularly liked the mesh-fronted pocket
on the front, which is large enough for storing your sailing gloves,
spare piece of line, shackles, and the all-important sailing instructions.
Hits:Lightweight, protective and
stylish.
Misses:Label-conscious sailors will
be disappointed with the Helly Hansen logo, which is hidden when
the neck seal is fastened!
Wish list:Another colour option.
Value for money:Excellent value for
money considering the top could be used for a variety of different
sports, including cycling.
