Yanmar GM series
The GM Series from Yanmar is the only range of engines specifically
designed for marine usage. These are the reasons why the range has
lead the yacht auxiliary market for over 15 years:
Reliability
The whole GM range is based around a simple yet robust design to ensure
the greatest reliability when theres no sailability.
Comfort
Each engine rests on anti-vibration mounts to ensure the only motion
the sailor feels is the motion of the ocean.
Transmissions
There are a choice of gearbox ratios to ensure the best match between
engine and propeller.
Hand Start
There is a unique hand start facility, giving the operator the security
of a manual back-up.

Yanmar Saildrive Series
The Saildrive Series are different classes of engines fitted with
saildrives.
Reliability
The dual diaphragm virtually eliminates leakages. It is made of a
tough, resilient material which is virtually crack-proof to resist
damage from any knocks.
Safe
The tough membrane is backed up by an inner sub-diaphragm. Between
these two walls is an automatic sensor that sends a warning to the
cockpit if there is a leakage.
Flexible
The compact design of the Saildrive allows the boat builder to play
with many design options. The lower drive and gear section can be
turned 180 degrees to suit the keel hull design.
Comfort
Vibration has been kept to a low level. The dual diaphragms stop any
contact between the drive and the hull so there is less transmission.

Yanmar JH3 Series
The JH3 Series are a family of five lightweight user-friendly, clean
and reliable marine diesel engines. The power options available are
40hp, 56hp, 75hp, 100hp and 125hp.
Lightweight
Each engine has closed space cylinders to save space and weight. Extensive
use of aluminium in many parts make for good weight saving.
User Friendly
Yanmar fit sophisticated engine mounts, velvet smooth transmissions
and micron-precision fuel systems. This makes for low noise, low vibration,
low emission easy-to-live with engines.
Environment
Inlet swirl design improves fuel-air mix. This is just one way Yanmar
improves combustion efficiency. All 5 engines clear the strict European
BSO regulations.

Yanmar LHA Series
The LHA Series from Yanmar are the best engines in their class. The
power options available are 160hp, 200hp and 240hp.
Improvements
The LH engine has an improved power to weight ratio, power to displacement
ratio and power for a given set of dimensions.
Versatile
Yanmar has designed the 4LHA to be used with a variety of marine gearboxes,
including straight, angled and vee-drive ZF-Hurth units.
Environment
This engine shows Yanmars commitment to protecting the environment.
It has low noise, low vibration, low smoke and a highly economical
use of fuel.
Comfort
Vibration has been kept to a low level due to the use of special steels
in the engine block and other critical areas.

MerCruiser Diesel Inboards
MerCruisers turbocharged and aftercooled in-line-four, and
in-line-six are setting new standards for dependable, efficient,
emissions approved power. These quiet, clean, high performing engines
make ideal inboards, geared up to stay the distance whether at work
or play.
There is a choice of horsepower and fuel injection systems. The
electronically direct-injected four-cylinder 165hp D2.8L D-Tronic,
the six-cylinder 220hp D4.2L indirect injection or 300hp D4.2L D-Tronic
electronic direct injection diesels.
MerCruiser Light Duty Diesel
Mercury MerCruisers reliable, fuel-efficient diesels with
their big-torque characteristics throughout the operating range
provide ideal power for patrol boats, search and rescue craft, crew
vessels and similar light duty commercial applications.
The wastegated six-cylinder D4.2L LD is direct injected, turbocharged
and aftercooled, and has a host of features making it a dependable
workhorse on the water. Standard features include an audio warning
system, water separating fuel filter, seawater strainer, closed
cooling and engine-mounted seawater pump.
MerCruiser Petrol Inboards
MerCruiser petrol inboards and towboat specials are runaway favourites
with boaters worldwide.
There are big block levels of power from the high-revving MX 6.2 and
the sophisticated 8.1 litre family with new management system. The
pure power and extended maintenance of the Horizon series, at 300hp,
320hp and 370hp propshaft, are the ultimate combination for the serious
boater. Built for performance and efficiency, the Horizons require
scheduled servicing at longer intervals. There are also excellent
value 5.7 litre carburetor Tow Sports and inboard models.

John Deere Marine Engines
John Deere PowerTechTM marine engines are some of the most powerful
on the water with solid, deliverable torque in the useable operating
range. Quiet, smoke free and economical, these engines offer the
commercial user trouble free and low maintenance operation for years.
John Deere 4 and 6-cylinder inline 75-450hp (56-336kW) diesel engines
are available for propulsion, auxiliary, and gen-set installations.
"M" power rating guidelines provide reliable and long
lasting performance.
M1
For propulsion applications that may operate up to 24 hours a day
at uninterrupted full power. These applications typically operate
for over 3,000 hours/year. M1 rating includes ISO8665 "Standard
power" and the SAE J1228 "crankshaft power" ratings.
M2
For propulsion applications that may utilise full power up to 16
of each 24 hours of operation. These applications typically operate
at full power as much as 65% of the time and accumulate as many
as 3,000 hours/year.
M3
For propulsion applications that utilise full power no more than
4 of each 12 hours of operation. These applications typically operate
at full power as much as 35 % of the time and accumulate as many
as 2,000 hours/year.
M4
For propulsion applications that utilise full power no more than
1 of each 12 hours of operation. These applications typically operate
at full power only 15 percent of the time or less and accumulate
as many as 800 hours/year.
M5
For propulsion applications that may utilise full power up to 30min.
out of each 6 hours of operation. These applications typically operate
at full power up to 8% of the time and accumulate as many as 300
hours/year.

Shire Canal Boat Engines
Like the horse after which they are named, Shire Diesel canal engines
are powerful, reliable workers. This purpose-built range from 800cc-4500cc,
is suitable for most sizes of narrowboat. Shire engines have gained
a reputation as a reliable heartbeat of the waterways and have been
installed by the majority of UK boat-builders. There are now two
Shire riverboat engines which are fresh water-cooled and have been
designed for estuary and river work applications and inshore fishing
boats.

Seatek Engines
The Seatek engines range from 660hp-1200hp and are both raw water-cooled
and fresh water-cooled engines. The specifications make these engines
unique on the market due to their amazing power to weight ratio,
compact size and high technology.
The Seatek engines are used on fast patrol boats in service with
the UK and overseas military.
