Yanmar LP Series
The LP Series from Yanmar are light in weight, small in size and have
high power outputs, 260hp-315hp.
They set the standard , and this is why:
Improvements
The overhead cam design develops maximum horsepower at higher revs
and the camshaft is belt driven, reducing weight, numbers of parts,
gear wear and noise.
Comfort
Yanmar engines rest on anti-vibration mounts to ensure the only motion
the sailor feels is the ocean.
Environment
To reduce black smoke at full throttle, the Yanmar 6LP series engines
have boost-compensated distributor type fuel pumps.
Extras
Yanmar engines can be ordered with optional instrument panels B. The
panel has additional sensors. Panels C and D also offer more sensors.
The idea is to go faster on less fuel, while at the same time keeping
an eye on all those engine functions.
Sterndrive Option
The 260hp and 315hp Yanmar diesel engines can be combined with a MerCruiser
sterndrive, Bravo One, Two or Three to give a wide variety of engine
and propulsion unit choices to suit all boating needs. Installation
is straightforward for a new boat or for re-powering.
Yanmar LY Series
When high power to weight combined with economy and reliability is
your priority, Yanmar leads the way.
The 6LY2(M) has a high performance straight six and the 6LYA-STE is
a twin-turbocharged water-cooled engine.
Performance
The race proven performance of the 6LY2 (M) is inherited from its
smaller brother the 6LYA-STE. Power to weight ratio is even more startling
and fuel economy is at a level that only a diesel could achieve.
Lightweight
The overall height is just 709mm. This has been achieved by placing
the freshwater cooler in a horizontal position. Also being just 708mm
wide the engines are ideal for twin installation.
Environment
All Yanmar LY Series engines comply with the strict IMO Bodensee exhaust
regulations.
Servicing
All major service points are conveniently placed high so that filter
changing and turbocharger cleaning is easily completed.
Yanmar CX Engine
The 500hp, 6CX-GTE2 features Yanmar’s latest lightweight engine
construction technology in a compact package. This power plant exhibits
superb fuel efficiency and a power-to-weight ratio that makes possible
a higher top speed and a longer cruising range using the same fuel
tank. The smooth power, together with the flat torque characteristics
and low fuel consumption figures of the engine make it an outstanding
choice for any fast boat. |
