As anyone who likes to take a dip off the back of their boat knows, a salt-water-laden towel takes an age to dry. The Bodyflik is designed to alleviate this problem. A soft rubber blade shaped to match the curves of your body sweeps away the surface water leaving far less moisture for your towel to absorb. I stuck one on board my holiday runaround, a 23ft Uttern D68, to see how the family took to it. Feedback was initially mixed, centering on the flexible blade being too short and stiff for comfort and the fact that some people's bodies seem to be more anatomically correct than others. But it did mean a smaller, lighter bundle of damp towels, which were quicker to dry out. On a compact cruiser where space is at a premium that can make an appreciable difference.
It comes in a rainbow of different colours and in two different shapes. Priced from just £3.95 it is also refreshingly cheap.
