A reader emailed to say that local- boy- made- good champion sailor Ben Aislie should join multi-billionaire film-maker Stephen Spielberg in making an Olympic protest over the Chinese government getting their oil from war-torn Sudan.
While I salute a man, who has in the past moved me to tears in my own front room, for taking a stance in discomforting the old communists who run free market China, I think it was George Bernard Shaw who said :'Principles are for those who can afford them.'
I think young Ben should be left out of this one.
