Happy Spirit
Andy Morris and John Leach purchased Happy Spirit, an Ocean 60, exactly one year ago. After a major refit in Lymington working on her every weekend including Christmas and the New Year, the boys sailed her from Falmouth in September to the start of the ARC. She's now classified as their travelling home.

Commenting on their future plans, Morris said: "We hope to move onwards back into the Pacific after a Caribbean cruise and possibly take in a few regattas. After that, we may do some higher latitude sailing visiting areas more off than on the beaten track. And a circumnavigation is also loosely planned."

Other members of the ARC crew include Chloe Bartle and Laurie Dunn. Both girls have given up work and are using the ARC to gain experience with a view to doing the trip next year with their boyfriends in their own respective yachts.
