Charge Controllers
Learn more about Barden's range of Charge Controllers
Nominal 12V solar panels use between 35-42 cells and actually produce between 17-20V. This voltage is too high for a 12V battery and therefore we need to use a charge controller or regulator to achieve the correct voltage. The regulator also performs a secondary task courtesy of its blocking diode. It will stop current leaking back to the panel at night time.
