If you’re serious about the sport of sailing make sure you sign up for the third Annual Sailing Summit which is taking place at the RAI Exhibition Centre, Amsterdam on Monday November 13.

This one-day event, hosted by International Boat Industry magazine and METS 2000, is designed to provide delegates with an insight into how sailing can reach a wider customer base and why certain sectors of the market have shown growth throughout the past three years.

This year’s line-up of summit speakers resemble a sailing ‘who’s who’ with the likes of Paul Henderson (President of ISAF), and top dinghy designer, Julian Bethwaite setting the ball rolling with two half-hour slots.

John Jameson, Executive Director of the International Sailing Schools Association, talking about developing sailing in developing countries, will be next on the list at 1130, followed by Susan Daly from Quokka Sports with America’s Cup internet news. After a 1230 lunch, Phil Jones CEO Australian Yachting Federation, will chat about ISAF’s event strategy, while IBI’s Phil Draper will share his knowledge about the size and scope of the international sailing market. There’ll also be many other interesting topics covered during the afternoon including Tom Ehman discussing the state of the America’s Cup vs other modern sports.

Special guest speakers at the evening dinner include Gary Jobson and Ron Holland.
