100 members of the Broom Owners Club attended the club’s annual reception at the London Boat Show last night, at the invitation of their boat-building hosts, Mr & Mrs Martin & Jennifer Broom.

The event is a popular opportunity for members to get together and guests had travelled from Scotland, Ireland and the Channel Islands to join their colleagues. Others had left their boats in France, the Netherlands and Majorca for the winter, and the talk was of plans for the coming season, both in home waters and further afield.

Today these plans will be formalised as the club meet at the Cruising Association’s Limehouse headquarters to take advantage of their cruise planning library.
