Today marks the start of the Schroders London International Boat Show, an event with a name almost as long as the halls at ExCel in which it is located. If you are visiting, don’t forget comfy walking shoes as you’ll need them in the spacious new venue.

We have our own stand for ybw.com, in the North Hall at N1805. Various members of the ybw.com team will be on the stand at different times and we look forward to seeing you there. There are live monitors for visitors to browse the site and yuo can also log in to the ybw boat show competition. Up for grabs this year is a week on a Marina Charter Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43ft yacht based at Salerno in Italy. The prize includes flights for four from the UK. One early misfortune for the show organisers occured over Christmas when the much heralded indoor pool suffered structural failure, recycling 250,000 gallons of water back into the Thames. This has meant that no meaningful on-water activities will take place on the pool prior to Monday next week, which in turn means that the indoor windsurfing championships have had to be moved back. We’ll keep an eye on things and report on ybw.com once the pool reopens.
