A local plasterer couldn't believe his eyes when a mobility scooter was seen towing a boat through the town last week
The unusual sighting of a mobility scooter towing a boat was captured on camera last Wednesday in Hartlepool.
Local plasterer Nigel Swinburne managed to get a picture of the event on his phone shortly after the driver and the boat had gone past him.
Posting the picture on Facebook, he said: “I’ve seen it all now, a mobility scooter pulling a boat in sheriff street! Drove straight past me but I was in shock and couldn’t get my phone out quick enough.”
Mr Swinborne was working outside Sherriff Street when the driver of the scooter came past him.
