A great white shark has been filmed biting chunks out of an inflatable boat off the coast of South Africa.

The MaxAnimal camera crew had been filming wildlife at sea for
their YouTube channel – which they describe as ‘merciless, ferocious,
untamed, violently fun, weird and wacky and above all, wild animal
videos’ – when the incident occurred last month.

In the video below, the shark can be seen sinking its razor sharp teeth
into the group’s inflatable boat during an unprovoked attack.

Luckily, the film crew and their semi-deflated boat made it safely back to shore following the ordeal.

The incredible footage, which was posted online just under a month ago, has been viewed almost one million times.
