For the 2000 edition, the St Tropez Rolex Cup (previously restricted to 12 Metre yachts), will adopt Race Week style profile.
Hosted by Yacht Club de St Tropez, and supported by Rolex, the regatta will comprise 4 days of coastal and course racing for yachts rated IMS and ORC Club, together with Class and One Design racing.
Having noted the success of events such as Key West, Block Island, Cowes and Antigua, the organisers of the St Tropez Rolex Cup intend to create a uniquely Mediterranean regatta which matches these others in stature, but with the emphasis firmly upon quality fleet racing. The social scene ashore will be typical St Tropez making use of the incomparable setting and history of the town.
Registration is scheduled for Thursday, 15 June with Racing programmed over the following 4 days. Monday, 19 June will also form part of the Giraglia Rolex Cup series.
Invited Classes and One Design fleets include: Corel 45, Farr 40, Sydney 40, Mumm 30 and 36, Beneteau 25s, 40.7s and 47.7s together with IMS 50s. The Notice of Race will be available soon from YCST.
