Outboard motors taken from stranded sloop

Outboard motors were stolen from a yacht after she ran aground at the weekend.

The captain was trying to manoeuvre the sloop in high winds when she broke free from her moorings. Water police tried to help the captain but they couldn’t stop the yacht running aground.

Thieves struck overnight as the 37ft sloop, stuck on a beach in Australia, waited for high tide before salvage crews could rescue her.
