The search will
continue this morning for a woman who went missing off the coast of Felixstowe
after her yacht crashed into a dredger and sank on Sunday afternoon.

The sailor, who is
believed to have been wearing a lifejacket, went overboard following the
collision at 1.30pm.

Another man onboard
was rescued shortly after the yacht sank by the dredger’s crew and was taken to
hospital to be checked over.

Two dogs that were
also on the vessel remain missing.

“The Felixstowe Coastguard Rescue Team,
three lifeboats – two from Harwich, one from Walton – two pilot boats, a dive
boat, the search and rescue helicopter from RAF Wattisham along with a number
of other vessels in the area were involved in the search yesterday,” said the
Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

So far, the search has
covered a three-mile radius from where the collision took place with at least
one lifeboat remaining at the scene overnight.

Further rescue
resources have joined the search this morning, including a coastguard search
and rescue helicopter and two lifeboats.
