Video: Abu Dhabi Marina fire destroys eight boats

A fire broke out at Abu Dhabi Marina at 3am on Monday 7 March and destroyed eight vessels moored at the bay.
The Civil Defence authorities promply arrived at the Marina and managed to extinguish the flames, avoiding damage to 211 boats and 23 jet skis.
Nine rescue teams were at the scene, containing the fire from different locations.
Unfortunately eight yachts were destroyed by the flames in the process, which started on two vessels and spread to six more. There were no human casualties.
It’s yet unknown what caused the fire and an investigation is being carried out by the authorities.
